Each week, the encounters from monday to sunday represent your explorations, investigations, and encounters in the streets of Arkham. Each month reveals an important new aspect of your adventure.
Your daily mission is to investigate, defend yourself, and search for clues. You have the freedom to investigate any space during the week except the climatic Sunday encounter (must be done on Sunday), provided you limit your encounters to one per day.
1. Move your investigator
Move your investigator's magnet to the next space on the calendar.2. Roll your dice up to 3 times
You can roll your dice up to 3 times to defeat one of the week's encounters.3. From Monday to Saturday
To overcome an encounter, you are entitled to a maximum of three dice rolls with your five dice. To succeed, your black dice must show a total equal to or greater than the encounter’s value, and at least one of your green dice must show the encounter’s symbol.4. The Sunday Climatic Encounter
The climactic encounter on Sunday must be made on Sunday. Each encounter you overcome earlier in the week reduces the amount you have to achieve with your 3 dice rolls by 1.5. Manage your madness
At the end of your rolls, regardless of the type of encounter, if at least one of your black dice shows a CTHULHU symbol, you gain a point of madness. If at the end of a month the madness grid is full, deduct 5 points from your score for the month.6. Note your score and advance to the next month
At the end of the month, tally your score and turn the page. A new month begins! Discover the next part of your story, but also a new rule that will be applied for the rest of your adventure.
